Welcome to the Lyceum, named for the hall in which ideas were formed that would shape society and the arts as we know them.

The Lyceum Series pairs emerging DFW authors with an interest in teaching and Dallas writers who are looking to grow their work. Offered at low-to-no cost, these monthly workshops will be hosted at The Writer's Garret on the third Saturday of each month. Each workshop will feature a different facilitator, instructing on a theme or genre in which they work, including poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and graphic novels, just to name a few. As a result, each month's workshop offers writers of all styles and skill levels an opportunity to learn, experiment and develop their craft.
