Writing From The Senses With Joe Milazzo

March 10 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm CDT

Powerful writing presents us with things to hear, see, touch, smell, and touch. In this workshop, participants will engage brief readings, discussion, and shared writing exercises, with a  focus on:
  • How to get in touch with our senses.
  • How to translate sensory impressions into figurative language (or imagery).
  • How to use imagery to make our writing more concrete, vivid, and engaging.
Participants will have an opportunity to share their original work and receive feedback on it during this session.
*Weather permitting, some of these exercises involve outdoor activities.
