Rail Writers Immersive Summer Youth Camps
All aboard! Rail Writers is on the move this summer, with 3 distinct week-long camps to explore the city and develop writing skills. For young writers ages 11-14, join us for The Dallas Beat (June 22-26), where we'll use journalism techniques to investigate the city and beyond; or Art Quest (July 13-17, or Aug 3-7) to use ekphrasis and other poetic forms to engage with visual art, from antiquity to the present day.
All camps run Monday-Friday, 9am-3:30pm. Pick up and drop off are at East Dock, located at 900 E. Clarendon.
Space is limited to 15 riders per camp.
Lunches are included. We're able to accommodate limited dietary restrictions (no pork, vegetarian).
All camp participants receive a Rail Writers back bag with all supplies necessary, including Rail Writers lanyard and badge, writing booklet and writing instruments.
