T. S. Eliot’s The Waste Land with Gregg Thompson

One of the most iconic works of 20th century literature, T. S. Eliot’s The Waste Land remains a widely discussed and studied text to this day. Across two afternoons, Gregg Thompson will lead a discussion regarding the poet behind the text, interpretations of what it offers readers, and the controversy surrounding the editing process that lead to the poem that was ultimately published.
Gregg Thompson makes his living as a real estate investor, having previously worked in investment banking and the printing industry. He has a BA in History from one land grant college and a MA in Literature from another. He is currently completing another MA in Philosophy at the University of Dallas. He writes poetry, some of which has been published, and has been engaged with The Writer’s Garret in one capacity or other over several years. Gregg is a father of three grown children.
