May First Draughts Prose Writer Meet Up

It’s time again for First Draughts, the monthly meetup for prose writers!

Meet us in the backyard at The Wild Detectives on the third Tuesdays of each month to grab a book and a beverage, chat with other writers, share your postcard fiction on the month’s prompt, and catch up on the latest local literary news. There’ll be a monthly drink special, plus book and gift card giveaways, so RSVP to join us.

POSTCARD FICTION
Each month, we’ll post a short prompt for a piece of fiction of no more than 500 words. At First Draughts, we’ll make an opportunity for anyone who’s written in response to share their work. The prompt this month’s Postcard Fiction piece is:
Something unexpected happens in a bookstore.

If you have cards, bookmarks or info to get the word out about your work, bring them with you to share with the folks you talk with.
