Cake & Prose: Shaun Hamill

Cake and Prose returns to Fort Worth! On Saturday, October 18th at 7 p.m., we’re featuring acclaimed local author, Shaun Hamill. Come join us at Arts Fifth Avenue to hear readings from Hamill’s work, to enjoy songs from our musical guest, Rachel Gollay—and of course, to eat cake.
Cake and Prose is a unique, free literary event with a focus on genre fiction, local talent, and cake. The ingredients are simple:
- Three stories. An author shares three stories — read by three different actors. These stories could be any genre. They could be short stories or excerpts of a longer work.
- Three songs. A musical performance by a guest artist adds another layer to this night of entertainment. Themes can emerge between the stories and songs.
- One cake. During the intermission, there is cake. Really good cake from a local bakery.
Mix together and enjoy! RSVP below! The event is free, but donations to support Writer’s Garret are greatly appreciated.
