Lyceum Series: Lyrik Hunter – Writing With Empathy: Connecting Through Shared Experience

February 21 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm CST

Welcome to the lyceum. These free, monthly workshops are held on the third Saturday of the month, and offer writers of every genre and skill level an opportunity to learn, experiment and develop their craft. We hope you’ll join us!

This interactive writing workshop explores the art of empathy in storytelling and personal narrative. Writers will learn how to authentically capture shared human experiences—joy, loss, resilience, identity—and use them to foster genuine emotional connection with readers. Through guided prompts, group discussion, and reflective exercises, participants will examine how cultural awareness, vulnerability, and perspective-taking can elevate their writing.
