Say It Loud! A Celebration In Poetry Presented By Badge Of Pride & The Writer’s Garret
The Writer’s Garret has partnered with Badge Of Pride to present Say It Loud! A Celebration Of LGBTQ+ Poetry. Inspired by artifacts from Badge Of Prides’s exhibition From Silence…To Celebration!, 14 queer poets from the North Texas region will take to the stage to share new work in response to the exhibit, drawing on themes queer memory, resistance, intimacy, and imagination.
Featuring: Logen Cure (artistic co-chair), LyriK Hunter (artistic co-chair), Blaq Bailey, CLOUDGoddess the Poet, C.R.U.S.H., James Davis, Delaney, Aaron Glover, Kepler Goodwin, Guru, Arthur Maruyama, Emmy Piercy, Mz. Trill, and Jennifer Elise Wang.
Presented by Badge Of Pride, The Writer’s Garret, and Irving Archives and Museum, this will be an electric afternoon of poetry and performance, rooted in queer history and charged with the urgency of the present.
