Comprised of epistolary poems addressed to 14th-century Italian poet Francesco Petrarca and prayers corresponding to the canonical hours\, this book recounts a single day and meditates on young love and loss. The speaker in this coming-of-age collection is at odds with herself and deeply concerned with relationships\, desire\, memory\, and place. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
