DESCRIPTION:Join Writing Workshops Dallas & The Writer’s Garret  for LitTalk: Author Panel Series at Whose Books on Wednesday\, April 17th at 7 pm. Novelist & series creator Alex Temblador will moderate a panel featuring Amanda Churchill\, Shaun Hamill\, and Andie Woodard as they discuss the process of publishing a first work. \n Amanda Churchill is a writer living in north Texas. Her work has been featured in Hobart Pulp\, Witness\, River Styx\, and other outlets. She was a Writer’s League of Texas 2021 Fellow and holds a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of North Texas. The Turtle House is her first novel. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nShaun Hamill received his BA in English from the University of Texas at Arlington\, and his MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. His debut novel\, A Cosmology of Monsters\, was published in 2019. His fiction has appeared in Carve and Come Join Us By the Fire 2. His nonfiction has appeared at Crimereads and Tor Nightfire. His second novel\, The Dissonance\, comes out 7/23/24. He lives and works in Arlington\, Texas. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nAndie Woodard (they/she) is a queer writer and activist. They received their MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Antioch University\, and their chapbook poetry collection\, TRAILER TRASH\, is available through Bottlecap Press. Andie lives in the Dallas Metroplex with their very anxious emotional support dog\, Sirius\, and their little cat\, Young Bernie Sanders. You can read more of their work at ModusOperandiee.com. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nAlex Temblador is the creator and host of LitTalk\, and the award-winning author of Half Outlaw and Secrets of the Casa Rosada.  Writing an Identity Not Your Own\, Alex’s first non-fiction book\, is forthcoming this year\, published through St. Martin’s Essentials. Her creative work has appeared in PALABRITAS and D Magazine\, as well as anthologies like Living Beyond Borders: Growing Up Mexican in America and Speculative Fiction for Dreamers: A Latinx Anthology.
