SUMMARY:Gardens Of Solitude: Reading Faiz With Maryam Baig
DESCRIPTION:Faiz Ahmed Faiz was and remains among the most celebrated poets of Pakistani literature\, remaining influential even now\, forty years after his death. Join Maryam Baig for an afternoon reading and discussing Faiz’s work\, which will not only introduce participants to genres\, themes\, and structures in Urdu poetry\, but will also detail Faiz’s works in relation to historical\, contemporary and modern Urdu poets from South Asia.
