RSVP to meet us in the backyard at 7:30pm on Wednesday September 13th for a live reading from one featured writer\, with a brief open mic to follow. Don’t worry\, podcast fans! We will record the live show and release it as a podcast episode for y’all. We usually feature poets\, but this month\, we are proud to present graphic novelist Christine Suggs! \n  \nChristine Suggs is a comic artist and designer living in Dallas\, TX with their wonderful partner\, dog\, and cat. Their debut book\, ¡AY MIJA! is a YA graphic novel about spending their summers in Mexico as a teen and was released in spring 2023 from Little Brown Young Readers. Christine’s work explores the intersection of their identities\, namely being a queer\, fat\, Latinx feminist who loves all things cute.
