Tapping Into Your Protagonist Voice with Alex Tremblador
March 22, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am CDT

In this workshop, you’ll get to know your protagonist intimately, so you can accurately capture their voice and craft a more authentic story. In this workshop, you’ll map your character’s likes, dislikes, fears, interests, and more with the intent of finding out who they are. In addition to leaving with a character map, you’ll also leave with a few paragraphs that reflect your character’s voice.
Alex Temblador is the Dallas-based author of the award-winning novel, Secrets of the Casa Rosada. She has had creative work appear in PALABRITAS and Colorado Review, and is the founder of LitTalk, a quarterly author panel series in DFW. When Alex is not working on her next book, she’s teaching writing seminars and classes, giving presentations at schools and organizations, and working as a freelance travel and arts writer for internationally-recognized outlets.
