First Session R & 'R  June 9  -  June 21 Grades 7 - 12
For starters, students will read and discuss the beloved contemporary classic by Rudolfo Anaya, Bless Me, Ultima, but we don't stop there. In the course of the next two weeks, they will creatively explore the book through their own creative poems, prose, and scripts, which will be collected in a student anthology for each to keep. Best of all, students will read and perform their writing on stage before a live audience at the Latino Cultural Center, Saturday morning, June 21.

Tuition

Only  $80 for two full weeks if registered by May 23 (includes books) $100 per student if registered after Early Bird Deadline of May 23.

Second Session   R & 'R  July 14  -  July 25  Grades 4 - 12
Our general Young Writers R&'R camp will focus on a variety of approaches to creative writing, including poetry, fiction, and playwriting. Students' best work will then be assembled into an anthology, giving students the opportunity to see their names in print!  For students who attend both weeks, the second week will be geared towards learning how to perform student work for family and friends. Students improve not only writing and reading skills, but their abilities to listen, think critically, and speak in public, while developing a sense of audience etiquette, as well.

Tuition

Only  $135 for one week or $265 for two full weeks if registered by June 20. Students can sign up for either one week or both weeks. $150 per week if registered after Early Bird Deadline of June 20.
