A few steps to becoming a CAMPer!
Students may either pay cash or enroll in our Work Exchange program.
Work Exchange students reciprocate by "paying" for their training through participation in The Writer's Garret community service projects. For example, studens can mentor students in CAMP, work with "at risk" youth or the elderly; assist with mailings, grantwriting, and editing -- or even escort out-of-town authors when they visit. The exact nature of service will depend on the current needs of the The Writer's Garret as it works in the community.
Students enrolled in the Artist or Professional Level programs also may receive occasional tuition vouchers for workshops offered as part of the regular programming season of The Writer's Garret. Students in Professional Study receive the first opportunity.
Currently, there are two admissions per year. The deadline for applications is June 15th and December 1st.
